ثقافة العراق واحدة من أقدم في العالم الثقافية تاريخها. العراق هو المكان الذي بلاد ما بين النهرين القديمة والحضارات، والتي ذهب على تركة على التأثير وتشكيل حضارات [العالمقديم]. ثقافيا، والعراق لديها تراث غني جدا.

• الباچة:- وهي اكلة شعبية مكونة من لحم رأس الخروف مع أرجله يتم سلقها وأكلها مع الخبز والرز.
• التمن والقيمة: وهي اكلة مشهورة في جنوب ووسط العراق خاصة في المناسبات الدينية وتتكون من مهروس الحمص واللحم مع الرز.

الموسيقـــى







يعود تاريخ الموسيقى في العراق إلى عهود قديمة بقدم العراق نفسه وتطورت الموسيقى عبر الحقب المتعددة فمن أقدم قيثارة في العالم إلى اختراع العود ومن إضافة الوتر الخامس له إلى الايقاعات والمقامات العراقية المختلفة. وتطورت الموسيقى العراقية بشكل ملحوظ بداية القرن العشرين على يد الأخوين صالح الكويتي وداود الكويتي، ووصل عدد المطربات في أربعينيات القرن إلى ما يقارب الأربعين مطربة، ثم عرفت الموسيقى العراقية بعد ذلك
العديد من الملحنين الذي رفدوا الأغنية العراقية بأجمل الأغاني مثل عباس جميل، ناظم نعيم، محمد نوشي، رضا علي، كمال السيد، كوكب حمزة، طالب غالي، حميد البصري، طارق الشبلي، مفيد الناصح، جعفر الخفاف وطالب القرغولي وغيرهم. كذلك يزخر العراق بالعديد
من الأصوات الكبيرة في مجال العراق، فمن القرن المنصرم نذكر ناظم الغزالي, داخل حسن, زهور حسين, فؤاد سالم حسين نعمة، رياض أحمد، قحطان العطار، مائدة نزهت، أنوار عبد الوهاب، ستار جبار وكاظم الساهر وغيرهم الكثير.






الــرياضة







تتنوع الرياضات في العراق وتبدي الحكومة العراقية اهتماماً كبيرا في هذا المجال وخصوصا في مجال كرة القدم والتايكواندو وخماسي الكرة وكرة السلة وألعاب القوى والشطرنج والملاكمة
ولكل هذه الرياضات انتشار جيد في الوسط الشعبي بالأضافة إلى الصيد والتزلج والتزلج بشكل عام موسمي ومحصور في المناطق الجبلية في شمال العراق, كذلك تبدي الدولة العراقية اهتمام كبيرا برياضة ((المعاقين)) وقد حققت فرق ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة الرياضية العديد من البطولات والميداليات المحلية والعربية والعالمية.
